Amazon’s partnership with Facebook and Instagram
In our last newsletter, we reported on the new paid subscription for the ad-free use of Instagram and Facebook. A collaboration with Amazon now makes it possible to optimise the use of ads or share data for ad targeting.
- Amazon and Facebook or Instagram accounts can be linked so that products from advertisements can be purchased directly from Amazon without leaving the app.
- The feature currently only appears to be available in the USA.

eBay presents new payment option

According to ChannelX, eBay has activated its new “Best Offer Immediate Payment” solution in the USA. If a buyer submits a “best offer,” the seller is paid when the proposal is accepted.
- Previously, the seller had to wait until the buyer decided to pay, which could not only take a few days, but in some cases could also lead to the purchase being cancelled.
- Now that the “Buy Now” option has been commonplace for years, eBay has been experimenting with it in normal auctions in the States this summer with a select group of buyers.
