Meta introduces Engaged-view for advertisers

Meta is introducing a new feature that follows the trend that users tend to act only after a video has ended so as not to interrupt the viewing experience. This is particularly relevant for advertising that encourages users to make a purchase decision, for example.

  • Engaged-view now enables advertisers to measure conversions that take place after a video ad has been played. This can help to better analyze ad performance and optimize video ad campaigns.

  • In the reports, Engaged-view is counted when someone plays video ads for at least 10 seconds (or watches 97% of the video length if it is less than 10 seconds) and a conversion is achieved within a day.
