Early Black Friday starts on amazon.com

The past two weeks provided two highlights for us with regard to our Amazon tool Remdash: First, Remazing received the Best Retail Cases Award 2021 for Remdash’s “Automated Content Maintenance on Amazon” feature. Secondly, Internet World reported on the award and the case study we had submitted for it.
For Amazon and the e-commerce sector as a whole, “Black Friday” and the Christmas shopping season will be the main focus in the coming weeks: consumer surveys, Amazon’s new gift shipping, and early “Epic Daily Deals” herald the period of promotional events that will last until the end of the year.
Updates: Amazon
Black Friday on amazon.com already started last week
This year, Amazon has started Black Friday in the US earlier than ever before: The “Epic Daily Deals” have been available since 04 October. Products from a wide range of categories can be purchased at reduced prices as part of these deals on amazon.com. At the same time, the “Holiday Beauty Haul” has started, which exclusively refers to beauty products. “Early Black Friday” deals are expected on Amazon starting on 18 November, while the actual “Black Friday” will take place on 26 November 2021.
Amazon retailers complain about falling prices and logistics problems
According to a survey by e-commerce companies Pattern and Profitero, the biggest controversies around selling on Amazon are falling prices on the marketplace (59 percent), Amazon’s complex or expensive logistics (54 percent), and unfavourable terms and conditions in general (54 percent). 53 percent of the survey respondents are also bothered by the lack of direct contact with Amazon’s support team. Prime customers can send gifts without a destination address in the US
Since 04 October 2021, Prime customers in the US only need the mobile number or email address of the recipient to send a gift to a friend via Amazon. The recipient will then receive an email or text message informing them about the gift. If the recipient does not yet have an Amazon account, one can be created directly. The gift item can then be rejected or accepted, or the amount gets converted into a voucher – without the sender being informed.
Amazon opens first “4 star store” in Europe
Amazon has started the international expansion of its “4-star store” concept by opening a first location in the UK – the first one outside the US. The specialized Amazon shop offers a selection of products that are top sellers, rated at least with 4 stars, or generally trending on Amazon.co.uk. The shop is prominently located in Bluewater, south-east of central London.
Amazon is working on smart refrigerators
Amazon is apparently working on a new innovative product: In the future, an intelligent refrigerator shall track consumers’ purchasing behaviors in cooperation with the company’s own grocery stores to automatically order food or suggest new recipes. Currently, Amazon does not want to comment on this.
Amazon launches Prime service in Poland
Amazon launched its Amazon Prime service for Poland on Tuesday with free delivery and video streaming. This caused stocks of the rival Polish e-commerce platform Allegro ALEP.WA to fall.
What caught our attention
For Sponsored Display Ads, the new custom target group Purchase Remarketing (“remarketing after purchase”) is now available. This allows customers to be retargeted based on their previous purchase behaviour on Amazon – for example, if they have purchased advertised, similar products or items from certain categories.
From now on, results-based budget rules can be stored for Sponsored Ads campaigns. These automatically increase the budget in a campaign when a predefined threshold value, e.g. a certain CTR or conversion rate, is reached.
Remdash: Vendor & Seller Central Revenue
With Remdash, you can track your sales from both Vendor and Seller Central. Amongst others, users can:

Top 5 Amazon Keywords
Just a few weeks after airing on Netflix, searches for the South Korean TV series “Squid Game” made it into the Top 5 keywords in Germany, the UK, France and Italy. In the US, the show’s success was still good enough to reach the 6th place. Other than that, shoppers in all countries listed are busy looking for Halloween costumes. In Germany, the UK and France, the Advent season is already being planned.
